Pan Handling
It's Day 24 on Project Domestication and I have to say it is going better than I expected. No major snafus, except for some under cooked corn on the cob and burnt sausage. I am quite proud of myself. My Cajun Salmon came out so wonderfully, I think even the asparagus was impressed. The blocks are building up slowly. As I am learning to cook I notice how essential it is to have quality saucepans, baking sheets, pots, etc. I have two pans that burn everything. No matter how much I babysit the food, nor how many pep talks I give the pans, a black and crusty coating will envelop the food like a cloak. Pots and pans have a lot to do with the quality and ease of preparing such meals and this girl needs as much help as she can get! It is time to kick the shoe habit to a dark corner and start basking in the radiant light of a new shiny Cuisinart cooking pan.
Gone are the days when I dial a friend to vaunt about the latest Nine West boots to hit the sidewalk. That high heel fetish is going out the back window and being replaced with a new figure in my life. A little non-stick, petroleum-free heartthrob with stay-cool eco-friendly handles. Ohhhh yeah, I'm heating up just thinking about it. Whether you cook a little or a lot, the better the tools of the trade, the higher quality and more simple it will be to create those delicious meals, and if you're a domestic novice like me, every little ounce of simplicity counts!
