December is the month of.......
I have been sick the past few days and it sucks! December, the month of family, great food, and icky Nyquil! BOO! I hate being at home all day. It truly drives me crazy! Today was the first day I left my house since Monday night. It felt so good to be outside. Although, my neighbors must have thought I looked like H1N1 Santa bundled up in my red and white layers that reeked of Vick's Vapor rub. Not to mention, tissues stuffed into every little pocket like mini Christmas gifts.
I drove to CVS to get stamps but they were out! Then I went to another place and they were out too! DANG IT! I didn't feel like going in to any other stores, however, I didn't want to go home either. It was so beautiful out and the sun was just setting. I decided to drive around the countryside for a while listening to Foo Fighters pondering about the upcoming months. When I got home I stumbled upon this quote in a magazine I was reading.
"It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power." VERY INTERESTING!
Besides reading, I am trying to take advantage of my illness by working on as much homework as possible and catching up on my HGTV. I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE House Hunters and International House Hunters. I would love the chance to buy a house in another country, some day. It would be a dream if I turned out like Diane Lane in, Under the Tuscan Sun, one of my favorite chick flicks of all time.
Till then, I will just sit at home bundled up like H1N1 Santa until this damn bug wears off!
