Adios AAA: Hello Spain
Yesterday was my last day at AAA. My bosses and co-workers threw a potluck with a smorgasbord of my favorite foods. At the end of the day, they presented me with a sweet cake, a funny card signed by all my co-workers and a nice parting gift. It was a picture perfect day, a little surreal, but perfect. I will miss them all bunches!
After work, I went to a little Italian spot with my old work buddies and toasted to new beginnings. The following night, I did the same with all my girlfriends. I have the best of friends, the best a girl could ever want. My two good friends, Jen and Rosa, hosted a wonderful Birthday/Going Away fondue party with a group of my closest girlfriends. Even my ol' So Cal transplant, Jamie, was able to make it. It was a night of cheese, chocolate, wine, stories, and laughs. It could not have been any better. Last night will never be forgotten.
This morning, I awoke bright-eyed and curly fried to get a jump start on moving. My pops came over with his dolly to help me move all my heavy boxes and house stuff. Thanks to my brother, Nick, we were all cracked out on Starbucks and moved my "life" out the door in record time. I am fortunate my family has some space on their property to let me store all my belongings, including my truck, until I return. I don't know if I could accomplish all these major changes without the support of my family.
Well, my time in California is winding down. I am setting sail on a new adventure soon and can't wait to see what is in store for me! Tuesday the 16th, I fly to Boston to spend time with my Mama before I head off to Spain on the 27th. Once I arrive in Spain, I will keep you updated via photos and videos showcasing the beauty of Europe and all of my cultural snafus!
